Maple Façades’s products have been featured on another award-winning project.
Horsham Fire and Training Centre has won the 'Building Project of the Year over £20 million' at the London and South East Constructing Excellence Awards.
Maple were instrumental in the design, supply and installation of a golden façade and screening louvres for the state-of-the-art facility. The façade features a range of solid, partly perforated and fully perforated panels that create an eye-catching geometric pattern across the elevations of the centre. Also, each panel was made of aluminium which -thanks to its natural oxide layer- is non-combustible and therefore is a great match for the fire station’s purpose.
The centre has been designed to supply firefighters with the latest training equipment and technology such as digital simulation rooms and a road traffic collision training area. Its modern amenities even caught the attention of a national television network.
The win is a great achievement for Maple, especially considering that two more of our projects (300 Harrow Road and Brighton 3Ts Hospital) were also nominated in the same category.
Congratulations to Willmott Dixon and everyone involved in this brilliant project!
