The new seven-storey civil service hub forms part of the £350m redevelopment of Talbot Gateway.
Maple have recently installed Contour SL Louvres onto a new office building in Blackpool town centre. Upon completion, the 215,000 square ft development will welcome 3,000 civil servants and has been donned the tallest office building in Blackpool. Also, the building has been designed to meet BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating meaning that sustainable practices have been implemented throughout the development’s lifecycle.
Maple’s louvres will provide the ultimate protection for the Civil Service Hub’s rooftop machinery. The weather is never usually the best in the UK, particularly in the Northern regions of England such as Blackpool, therefore ensuring important rooftop plant machinery is protected against the elements is vital for office buildings.
Contour SL louvres is a highly versatile Maple system that accommodates different louvre, flashing, corner type and mullion design options making it suitable for a range of bespoke project requirements. Also, given Blackpool’s coastal location, the louvre blades have been anodised to protect from corrosive salt spray.
