JCA Engineering admired Maple’s resilience and collaborative approach to complex projects.

Maple were involved with the supply and installation of colourful fins onto the exterior of KLON-02 data centre in Harlow, the second of four 10 megawatt buildings to be constructed on the data campus with another two planned for construction by KAO Data.

The aerofoil blades used on the façade are part of Maple’s Actua® range and provide a striking visual impact. The arrangement of green and yellow fins offers a fresh look, setting a new precedent for typically grey data centres.

JCA Engineering Senior Contracts Manager, Paul McGeady gave us top marks in the areas of communication, project management, quality of drawings and expertise in façade installation. We were awarded 9/10 for ‘Meeting deadlines and project timelines’ as Paul noticed that ‘You came in when you were due and kept us informed when you were having troubles.’

Paul was also impressed with our approach to tackling problems in the design process. When confronted with an issue, he noted that ‘Your designer went over it a number of times and got it to work. He didn’t push back, he made it his own issue and worked with our people which was really nice to see.’
