The versatility of Maple’s rooftop screening systems is being demonstrated on a new mixed-use development in Leeds.

We’re well known for screening systems that protect important plant and machinery from the elements. But at SOYO Leeds, the main purpose of our gold-coloured perforated panels is to provide privacy for residents’ rooftop terraces.

The attractive and practical system, which will also hide unsightly equipment from public view, has been developed in partnership between Maple’s in-house design team and Caddick Construction. Phase One is already complete, with around 1,600 perforations on each panel creating a high-end, bespoke look that belies the simplicity of the solution.

Although shielded from the HVA equipment (and neighbours), residents will still enjoy great views from the terraces, including one of Maple’s most spectacular projects – the twisted-fin façade on the nearby Victoria Gate car park.

SOYO will provide more than one million square feet of residential, office and leisure space in the heart of Leeds’ cultural district. The project is one of the largest undertaken by Yorkshire firm Caddick Construction, who have previously collaborated with Maple on the Glasshouse car park in Cheshire’s Alderley Park.
