Maple are playing an active role in what has been named ‘the biggest regeneration project in the last decade in South Bristol’.

Bedminster Green in Bristol is being split into five plots as part of a large redevelopment plan to supply community and residential spaces to the local area.

Maple will be working alongside Dandara to install a ‘reconstituted stone’  rainscreen cladding solution and balustrades onto a 16-storey building, which will provide 316 new homes for the Bedminster district. The stone material will also be used to create architectural fins that will feature on all four elevations of the building.

The panels have been fixed to the development using the eClips support system, which utilises patented insulation fix technology to increase the building’s thermal efficiency.

Due to the tight working conditions of the site,  Maple implemented modern methods of construction (MMC ) by prefabricating the balustrades offsite meaning they can be fastened onto the building as a finished unit, reducing installation time. To learn more about this methodology, take a look at our ‘What are the modern methods of construction? article on our Knowledge Centre.

Bedminster Green marks our second large-scale residential project in Bristol this decade. The Maple team are currently working with Vinci Building UK on the University of the West of England’s Frenchay Campus student accommodation.
