Last year Maple won the contract to install an architectural façade on a new multi-storey car park as part of the Eden Campus redevelopment project.
The supply and installation of a perforated panel façade onto a new multi-storey car park is well underway in Kingston-upon-Thames and our team have already been commended for our Health and Safety practices.
In January, Maple were top of the table of subcontractors for Health and Safety compliance and a member of our team was recognised for their PPE compliance and pro-active MEWP Barrier controls. These have been great achievements for the Maple team, and we would like to congratulate all those involved.
The car park project involves the application of Maple’s perforated panels and smaller flat panels which, once completed, will create a heritage motif Roman numeral as a nod to the historic Roman occupation of Kingston. The 360-space facility serves to replace the current, concrete car park which was erected in the 1970s.
Though architect Darling Associates’s façade design is grounded in history, the car park itself couldn’t be further from historic. The entire Project Honey project is aiming for BREEAM Excellent rating and the design of the car park allows for repurposing if car demand falls in the future.
Maple have been working alongside McLaughlin & Harvey on the project which is expected to be completed by October 2024.
