Laser-cut panels forming a concertina 3D façade will be the stand-out feature of a new multi-storey car park in Stockport.
The prestigious project is part of a £145m regeneration of the Stockport Exchange area that’s being delivered by national urban development company Muse on behalf of Stockport Council.
The 400-space multi-storey is just three miles from our Hazel Grove factory, but it’s another example of how Maple’s architectural façades are transforming car park design across the whole of the UK.
As well as the aluminium laser-cut panels, the new Stockport Exchange MSCP will also showcase Maple’s expanded mesh and welded steel mesh panels on all four elevations.
Designed by Ryder Architecture, the car park represents Maple’s latest collaboration with main contractors Galliford Try. We also worked together on the award-winning Broadmarsh car park and bus station project in Nottingham.
Stockport Exchange is completely transforming the area around Stockport train station, As well as the car park, it will feature a 115-bedroom Holiday Inn Express, two striking office with ground-floor retail space – all within a beautifully-landscaped public realm.
