Wirral Growth’s office development scheme is one of Maple’s largest plant screen installations to date.

Aluminium screening louvres reaching up to 120 m have been installed onto two new office developments on The Wirral. The two 75,000 sq ft buildings were commissioned by the Wirral Growth company and serve to provide more quality workspaces and attract new businesses to the area.

Each blade has been ‘anodic' powder-coated in soft champagne and steel bronze tones which was specifically chosen by AHR architects as a more cost-effective alternative to anodising. The range of anodic finishes provides great protection against harsh weather conditions and corrosive elements such as salt spray coming from the Mersey Estuary.

The screening louvres have been fixed to the rooftops of the respective buildings and are designed to hide HVAC equipment and machinery from view.

‘The completion of these offices is a great moment for our town’s history,’ said The Mayor of Wirral, Councillor Jerry Williams, ‘a physical statement of progress with our town centre plans which form part of a twenty-year plan that will see the creation of new family-friendly neighbourhoods, beautiful green public spaces and parks.’

This is the latest plant screen project in the Office and Retail sector following our louvre installation for Zurich UK offices in London.
