Maple worked alongside Wates Construction to install bespoke rainscreen cladding for the luxury care home in North London.
Maple Façades's rainscreen cladding installation for the 96-apartment luxury development was completed in mid-2023. Although, as part of our pre-construction service, we began liaising with Wates Construction long before work began on Signature at Highgate.
Thanks to extensive experience in the cladding and solar shading, Maple were able to shape the design in line with the architect’s design intent and the client’s budget.
We achieved this through a series of design reviews and workshops to understand the brief and tailor the design to provide a cost-effective and ‘buildable’ solution.
The upper levels of the premium care home feature Aspect, Maple Facades's class-leading rainscreen cladding system which is high-performing, strong and efficient to install. Horizon coping system completes the design of external façade thanks to concealed fixings and integrated weather seals to protect against water ingress.
Maple’s brise soleil system was also installed onto the care home. The system uses horizontal aerofoil blades, which extend 500mm from the building to protect residents from the solar glare.
Both systems were fabricated in aluminium and powder-coated in cream and pearl-beige to complement the red brick of the main construction.
Situated on Bishop’s Avenue in Highgate, the Signature care home offers a variety of living spaces, including one-bedroom suites and studio apartments, along with amenities such as a café, activity space, bistro, fine-dining restaurant, cinema, spa facilities and various lounges.
