Premier Inn Rickmansworth

A modular brise soleil system made sure Maple’s stay at a new Premier Inn in Rickmansworth was a short but happy one.

We were commissioned to supply our Corona solar screening for the 92-bed hotel.

However, instead of using individual blades, we constructed 23 cassettes of seven 200mm x 50mm blades in our Stockport factory.

Manufacture in a controlled environment helps quality assurance but also makes installation easier – meaning we were on the busy construction site for as little time as possible.

We worked closely with contractors Bowmer and Kirkland on design, construction and installation.

Because of the orientation of the four-storey building, vertical blades were specified to protect rooms from solar glare and overheating (horizontal blades are typically used on south-facing elevations, where the sun is at its highest).
