Problem-solving will be part of everyday life at the new Chorley Digital Office Park – so Maple are proud to have played our part already.

We’ve worked closely with Howarth Litchfield Architects, contractors Willmott Dixon and Chorley Council to find the best solution for an internal blind challenge.

Our brief was to supply and install blinds that were cost-effective, low-maintenance and in keeping with the building’s stylish design. Above all, the blinds for large areas of glazing over three floors, had to perform effectively.

We recommended our Ultra 45 roller-blind system... with a twist. Instead of specifying individual blinds for each window, we doubled up. Larger blinds with wider spans (3.6m) reduced the amount of light creeping in at the sides when the blinds were closed, and halved the amount of manual controls.

In total, we installed 160 blinds for the building, which will provide 54,000 sq ft of office space for digital start-ups and SMEs. It’s due to open later this year.
