Salford Royal Hospital

HEALTH | ARCHITECTURAL FAÇADES

Maple delivered a striking façade of gold anodised vertical fins for a new trauma hospital, creating a bold architectural feature across all elevations. The fins are offset from the building to maintain a clear entrance while reflecting the design language used elsewhere on the facility, including the helipad.

Using 3D modelling and close collaboration with the project team, Maple developed a bespoke fixing approach that allowed the fins to sit away from the façade, supported by adapted rail systems and horizontal arms to achieve the desired architectural effect.

Maple's approach to collaboration was second to none and the finished installations are of high quality. BAM would not hesitate to recommend and use them again.
