Bingham Arena Leisure Centre

Aerofoil blades from the brise soleil range were installed at Bingham Sports Centre as a bold architectural feature, marking the second time these systems have been used primarily for visual impact.

Fabricated from perforated aluminium to reduce weight and curved for added rigidity, the 1,200mm wide fins range from 5m to 6.5m in height. Powder coated in golden yellow, they deliver a striking focal point in line with YMD Boon’s design vision.

Maple also installed brise soleil to the south elevation and 100mm grey louvre blades to screen rooftop HVAC equipment.
