Ancoats Mobility Hub
CAR PARKS | ARCHITECTURAL FAÇADES
Ancoats Mobility Hub represents a major milestone, marking the 50th car park façade delivered since the first project at Addenbrooke’s Hospital MSCP in 2008. The façade features vertical Vector® fins across all four elevations, rising to 26 metres. Anodised in silver for enhanced durability, the fins are complemented by sections of Nebula® expanded mesh and integrated planting on the south and east elevations, adding visual interest while maintaining ventilation. Contour® VL louvres on the north and south elevations further support airflow and compliance.
To streamline installation, the Vector® fins were preassembled offsite, with trapezoidal fins on the north elevation introducing variation to the overall design. A large living wall on the north façade completes the scheme, aligning the building with the neighbouring Ancoats Green development.
