Maple have completed a brise soleil project for chemical manufacturing giant INOVYN ChlorVinyls in Runcorn.

But it was our pre-construction support that got the biggest ‘reaction’ from contractors BAM.

“Maple’s project management and pre-construction support helped develop a brise soleil solution within budget, to the client’s aspirations – safely and to a high standard,” said BAM’s Senior Project Manager, David Oldfield.

Maple installed an 11.5m high brise soleil system to the north and west elevations of the four-storey building, which will accommodate up to 450 employees.

By using our modular Aurora system of pre-assembled brise soleil ‘casettes’, we were able to deliver a cost-effective solution that reduced installation time – while still meeting the brief of protecting the glazed offices from direct sunlight.

The cassettes, which were up to 8m wide, were powder-coated in black to align with the overall building design.

INOVYN ChlorVinyls (part of the INEOS Group) is one of Cheshire’s most important companies and employers. Its products are used in a diverse range of sectors, including construction, car production, paints, food, medical and water treatment.
