Maple achieves Pledger status with the CRCBE

Maple is proud to have achieved Pledger status with the Carbon Reduction Code for the Built Environment, marking another step in our ongoing commitment to reducing carbon and supporting a more sustainable built environment.

The Carbon Reduction Code for the Built Environment, often referred to as CRCBE, provides a clear framework for organisations across construction and the wider built environment to demonstrate their commitment to net zero.

For organisations in the built environment, the Code provides a structured way to set out carbon reduction plans, report on progress and show how they are working towards net zero. It focuses not only on long-term ambitions, but also on the practical steps required to reduce emissions, improve transparency and support wider industry progress.

What does Pledger status mean?

To achieve Pledger status, organisations must commit to setting out a plan to meet net zero, establish interim carbon reduction targets, take a transparent approach to offsetting where it is used, and implement a carbon literacy programme that includes members of the leadership team who influence the built environment.

For Maple, this means setting out a clear Carbon Reduction Plan, establishing interim carbon reduction targets for 2030, and publishing our approach to offsetting.

Achieving Pledger status is an important milestone, but it is also part of a wider and ongoing journey. To find out more, take a look at our Sustainability page.
