So, it’s appropriate perhaps to be the latest addition in our car showroom portfolio.
We’re supplying and installing brise soleil for Dace Motor Group’s new car supermarket in Reddish. It follows projects for Mercedes, Porsche, Audi and VW around the UK.
Two types of solar screening will protect staff and customers from the heat and glare of the sun – a common problem in car showrooms, where there is a lot of glass and reflective surfaces.
We’re using our Aurora aerofoil blade system for the west elevation. Horizontal cassettes of five blades, which will project more than a metre from the curtain walling, are being pre-fabricated at our factory for speed, efficiency and ease of installation. We’re also installing a vertical system of horizontal blades for the west and south elevations to give more protection from direct sun.
The project, which is due to start in 2023, is a collaboration between Maple, Distinct Developments Ltd and architects Wake Morley.
