Maple demonstrate range of expertise with window blinds for Salford apartments
New Bailey is an urban regeneration project in Salford on the site of a former prison. The development includes retail and office space, apartments, a hotel and multi-storey car park.
Maple has already contributed to a striking design for the car park with a ribbon-like façade. For two new apartment blocks, we moved inside.
Renowned for our range of interior blinds and curtains since 1983, we were tasked with supplying and installing 448 roller blinds and 193 venetian blinds for the two towers.
Plot A5 is a 10-storey block of 90 apartments, while A6 has 135 apartments over 15 floors. Both overlook the River Irwell and take advantage of the natural light ― which has pros and cons for residents. Therefore, roller blinds for the living areas let in some light (3%), while blinds for bedrooms are full black-out.
The chain-operated blinds are fabricated in chalk white Roe and Medway fabric respectively, to complement the gloss white venetian blinds.
