A mixture of gold perforated panels and architectural fins is a major feature on the new science and engineering facility in Longbridge.
Maple worked alongside contractors Speller Metcalfe on the development which involved the supply and installation of a panel façade and
louvres for the new scientific precision engineering centre.
An arrangement of aluminium
perforated panels, powder-coated in a gold finish, now clad the entrance of the facility creating an impressive spectacle for visitors. Furthermore, the 15 architectural
fins which are fixed to the curtain wall are fabricated from the same material, helping to provide a sense of cohesion to the building’s aesthetic. Maple’s
solid panels also feature on the south-west face of the building, which complements the golden features of the façade.
This project is particularly significant as it marks one of the first developments to feature Maple Sunscreening and Levolux products since our acquisition of the Levolux IP rights in 2022.
Levolux louvres were instrumental in providing a plant screen solution for the facility as the Ligniti louvre VLS XL140 was installed onto the rooftop to hide unsightly HVAC machinery.
Waters Corporation marks the latest project in which Maple’s architectural fins have added visual appeal to new development, following our installation for
Stafford College. The facility is situated on the former site of the MG Rover Factory and once opened, is expected to provide up to 100 new jobs.
