World Quality Day is on 14 November, when the contribution of quality professionals around the world will be recognised by thousands of organisations.
The annual event is being described as ’your opportunity to celebrate the achievements of your team and organisation’. And, as you’d expect from a company that places quality at top of our priorities, Maple are joining in.
This year’s theme marks the Chartered Quality Institute’s centenary, and is titled ‘100 years of quality’. Even though Maple has only been around since 1983, we’ve packed a lot in.
“Our passion for quality remains as strong as ever,” said Maple’s HSEQ Manager, Mark Simpson. “It’s one of the pillars on which we build excellent quality and customer service – for our people, our suppliers, our sub-contractors and, of course, our clients.”
World Quality Day aligns perfectly with Maple’s Diamond Route Approach, a commitment to quality that underpins everything we do.
As recently as this summer, we have installed a new racking system at our Stockport factory, which protects products from the elements while they are waiting for delivery.
We have also introduced an ‘observation card’ system for recording positive and negative feedback from employees. The information received helps our HSEQ team develop and implement improvements to our operations.
Meanwhile, new communication boards have been installed to keep staff up to date with company news and information, and Health & Safety updates.
On World Quality Day, we’ll be running a series of in-house sessions to highlight the importance of quality, and celebrate some of Maple’s achievements over the last 36 years. We will also reflect on some of the quality milestones over the last 100 years that have shaped our industry and the world we live in today. Look out for further updates!
