Maple's Louvred Plant Screens installed for Cambridge Novotel | Maple

In our latest project for the hotel sector, we’ve manufactured and installed rooftop louvred plant screens for the new Novotel in Cambridge.

While the exterior look of hotels is an important consideration for architects and clients, project success ultimately rests with the comfort they provide guests. Heating, air conditioning, hot water on tap...

Our rooftop screens help ensure these services are provided without a hitch by protecting vital equipment and machinery from the elements. Special profiled blades prevent ingress from water, wind gusts, dirt and pests – while allowing beneficial airflow.

The project for specialist design and build contractors McAleer & Rushe uses Maple’s continuous, single-bank louvre system and aluminium supports. All components are powder-coated to a non-metallic RAL colour to complement the red brick finish of the 217-bed, 6-storey hotel.

When complete, the 4-star Novotel will be an important part of the Cambridge North regeneration scheme. It’s Maple’s latest hotel project after work on Premier Inn developments in Rickmansworth and Manchester’s Circle Square.
