Maple have been awarded a prestigious contract to design, supply and install rainscreen cladding and brise soleil for Signature development in North London.
The 96-apartment luxury development is due to be completed in spring 2023. But Maple started liaising with Wates Construction long before work began on site.
As part of our pre-construction service, our specialists drew on years of experience to help shape the design of the cladding and solar shading to achieve the design intent within the client’s budget.
We hosted design reviews and workshops to understand the brief, and refined the design to provide a cost-effective and ‘buildable’ solution.
The rainscreen cladding, which will cover the upper levels of the purpose-built care home, will use Maple’s class-leading system - high-performing, strong and efficient to install – but will also incorporate bespoke cornice projections, trims and copings.
The brise soleil will be based on our Aurora range of horizontal aerofoil blades, which will extend 500mm from the building to protect residents from the sun’s glare.
Both systems will be fabricated in aluminium and powder-coated in cream and pearl-beige to complement the red brick of the main construction.
When complete, the Signature care home in Highgate will provide a mix of one-bedroom suites and studio apartments, and include a café, activity space, bistro, fine-dining restaurant, bar, cinema, spa facilities, therapy rooms, hair salon and various lounges.
