We’ve been measuring ourselves against global ISO standards for quality (ISO 9001: 2015), environmental (ISO 14001: 2015), and health and safety management (ISO 45001) for the last decade. But UKAS – the government-appointed national accreditation body – require companies to keep their certificates up to date.
“Although Covid restrictions meant the audit had to be done remotely, it was still an in-depth and detailed assessment process,” added Mark. “No matter how strong we think our HSEQ management systems are, there’s always the possibility that we may have overlooked something or not be fully compliant. But we passed the quality and environmental elements of the audit with flying colours.”
Around the world, ISO standards are used to reassure customers, employees and stakeholders that products, services and workplace practices are safe, reliable and good quality.
