At Grange Paddocks Leisure Centre in Bishop’s Stortford, we’ve installed
rooftop plant screens, brise soleil AND
ventilation louvres.
Our winning results have been achieved in collaboration with architects Saunders Boston and main contractor Willmott Dixon, who have delivered East Herts Council’s vision for state-of-the-art facilities for the local community.
The centre includes a gym, fitness studio, multi-purpose rooms and a swimming pool, where Maple’s
Corona blade system protects swimmers and (crucially) lifeguards from the dangers of sunlight bouncing off the water – as well as providing the benefits of a climate façade.
On the roof, our louvre system hides HVAC equipment from view, while louvred panels – built into the brickwork – provide ventilation but keep out the elements.
Apart from the rooftop screening, it’s all powder-coated in red – making Maple’s contribution to the comfort of visitors and the sleek design of the finished centre easy to spot.
Grange Paddocks is our latest significant project in Bishop’s Stortford, where we’re also installing laser-cut and expanded mesh panels to the facade of the new Northgate End car park.
